I was sitting on the beach with a girlfriend back in June talking about how it was getting too hot to run outside (Note that it wasn’t too hot to go to the beach though. Priorities, people!) when she told me that I had to try Jillian Michaels’ 30 Day Shred videos. I know. You hear “workout video” and picture Sweatin’ to the Oldies or even better, Prancercise. Me too. And the last workout video I tried to do was Insanity with Anderson. DISASTER. I had a mini-almost-heart attack about 4 minutes in. Not kidding. My excuse for not continuing was 1. That almost heart attack and 2. Some of those workouts are close to an hour long. I don’t want to spend an hour working out. Anyway, I did the 30 Day Shred videos for about two months this summer when it was just too hot outside, and I loved them! They’re really high intensity and involve a lot of the same moves as P90X and Insanity but are less than 30 minutes long. I can handle that! I’m back to running outside now but definitely recommend these videos. And if you get bored easily (like me) you can switch between all three workouts. I did that a lot.
PS-Should I call them workout DVDs instead of videos? Ha! Oh well.
