Miami Grill – Jacksonville

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: I don’t cook on weekends. 🙂 It’s not an official house rule, but we’ve all made a silent agreement about this topic. So that means we spend most of our weekends enjoying our favorite local Jacksonville restaurants and trying new ones too! So a few weeks ago when we were invited to try the new Miami Grill we jumped at the chance! The new restaurant is located in the Regency area but the vibe is totally South Beach. We liked that the menu had a little bit of everything on it –  salads and wings, cheesesteaks, burgers, and gyros. It’s definitely the perfect place for a group, because everyone can order whatever they want! Kingston and I were especially happy about the hot sauce bar. We both love hot sauce and enjoyed forcing Anderson to try Every. Single. One. He’s a wimp when it comes to hot food, but the sweet chili sauce was a winner for all of us! I stole some of Kingston’s french fries just to dip in the sauces.

Miami Grill started with a single restaurant in Key West, Florida in 1988: Mr. Submarine. From there, the brand experienced rapid growth as “Miami Subs” during the 90’s, garnering a cult-like following through its distinctive Miami-inspired design and delicious made-to-order meals. But food was just the beginning. In 2012, Miami Subs partnered with international music sensation Pitbull to truly take the brand ‘worldwide’. Far from just a sub shop, today Miami Grill continues to offer more to everyone, all in a sleek new concept with a South Beach vibe. In other words, at Miami Grill, everything goes. With restaurants all over Florida, the new Jacksonville location is the latest to open.

Check it out next time you’re in the Arlington/Regency area looking for a new place to try! I recommend the buffalo chicken salad, and Anderson thinks you’ll like the bacon cheeseburger. Kingston just wants to make sure you know to try the hot sauces! 🙂
