Fridays are usually date day for us, and this was a fun one! We spent the day in downtown Jacksonville and went to MOCA Jacksonville to see the Milagros installation “Flutter Zone.” It’s bright and airy and whimsical, and you have to go experience it! I dare you to try not to smile the whole time. 🙂 If you want to go inside the bubble, you have to put booties over your shoes and then get three minutes to enjoy the fun.
This installation will be at MOCA through April, and there are so many opportunities to visit for free: everyone gets in free on Saturdays and on the last Friday of the month with your Jacksonville Library card. And then there are select days for UNF students, members, etc. Check out the full list of times to enjoy the museum for free here. Or just go support the arts and pay! It’s definitely worth it. We’ve found that on weekdays we have the whole place mostly to ourselves.
While we were in the area we had lunch at Bellwether, walked through James Weldon Johnson Park and grabbed coffee later at Urban Grind. Such a fun afternoon in downtown Jax!
