8 Books to Read This Fall

I read a lot, y’all! And I often recommend books on Instagram stories, but I don’t think I’ve ever done a post here about books….

I read a lot, y’all! And I often recommend books on Instagram stories, but I don’t think I’ve ever done a post here about books. Crazy! We’re changing that right now. I have a long list of favorites, so I’ll do several of these posts. But first you need to know a little bit about the types of books I enjoy. Anything in the thriller, mystery, crime solving, legal battling genre is probably going to be on my list! But I also enjoy funny “chic lit” sometimes. The books on the bottom row fall into that category, and the ones on the top are definitely thrillers! Here’s a synopsis about each one:

Something in the Water
I could NOT put this one down!

So good, y’all! And it has a twist. I love a good twist!

Behind Closed Doors
Oh man. This book is one of my favorites!

The perfect marriage? Or the perfect lie? Everyone knows a couple like Jack and Grace. He has looks and wealth; she has charm and elegance. He’s a dedicated attorney who has never lost a case; she is a flawless homemaker, a masterful gardener and cook, and dotes on her disabled younger sister. Though they are still newlyweds, they seem to have it all. Some might call this true love. Others might wonder why Grace never answers the phone. Or why she can never meet for coffee, even though she doesn’t work. How she can cook such elaborate meals but remain so slim. Or why she never seems to take anything with her when she leaves the house, not even a pen. Or why there are such high-security metal shutters on all the downstairs windows.

Crazy Rich Asians
This 3-book Kevin Kwan series is such a fun read! If you’re not into thriller, mystery-type books, this series is probably your best bet from this list. It’s fun chic-lit. And the first book was made into a movie this year!

Rich People Problems

What Alice Forgot
Here’s another recommendation for those of you who can’t handle the nightmares you get from reading thrillers! And if you enjoy this one, check out Liane Moriarty’s other books!
