We had a great time at One Spark last week! It’s a five-day event where artists, entrepreneurs and innovators show off their projects all over downtown Jacksonville. The creators compete for over $300,000 in crowd-funding and prize money. And the crowd gets to vote for their favorite projects. We saw some exciting ideas, and tasted some really good food. But my favorite part of One Spark is the energy it brings to the downtown area. As we walked the streets Friday night we ran into so many friends and acquaintances from all over North Florida. I loved seeing all the support for our city. One Spark made me proud of Jacksonville!
I loved the event this year. It was such an improvement over the first one, so I can’t wait for future festivals!
