Good: – You know you’re a redneck when you just assume “DG” stands for Dollar General. I was talking to a friend about getting our families together when she told me they couldn’t do Tuesdays, because her husband goes to DG that night. I was like, “You need to come up with a better excuse than your […]

Jeanne Clifton - Two things – I totally understand about the AC Filters – when Steven and I first married, the place we lived had filters that were 12X20X1. The only way he could remember was that my birthday is 12/20 – OR the only way he could remember my birthday is it was the size of our Filters. Either way works! They are a different size now so neither one of us can remember. Also, Thomas and Tori love The Ugly Cupcake Muffinry place. There is a Groupon right now for Monday through Friday here: https://www.groupon.com/deals/the-ugly-cupcake-muffinry-cafeReplyCancel

Lyndsay - Ha!! I’m SURE it was your birthday that helped him remember the filter. :) And thank you so much for the Groupon! That’s such a good deal.ReplyCancel

I’m a restless waiter. I don’t know if it’s a lack of patience or a lack of faith, but I have a hard time waiting on God. I’d rather take matters into my own hands. To get the ball rolling and start making plans then ask him to come along and bless them. Why should […]

Megan - I get this so much! Even with a tiny human who’s 1, there are still some days I find myself wondering what on earth is next. Like, I can do two things at once God, give it to me! I’m also a photographer turned SAHM, and some days I wonder if I’m supposed to go back full time into, then other days I know I’m not. this is such a beautiful post!ReplyCancel

Michelle - I needed this so much right now. I’ve been feeling for weeks like God’s been speaking into my life telling me I need to wait on Him but I am the worst at that. Sunday’s service was all about “Yet Praise”, praising Him while we are waiting on Him. And again He just keeps telling me to wait on Him. And then He even uses your blog to speak to me! So thank you for letting God use to speak to others. :)ReplyCancel

Lyndsay - I love that he is so patient with us – speaking the same message to us over and over through different people. He is patient even when we are not! Just another way he’s a great father!!ReplyCancel

When he was little this was the “time-out” chair. I mean, we mainly just used it on days that end in y. ;) But now it’s the “learning to read” chair! Kingston is loving kindergarten, and we’re so thankful! He brings home a book to read (or for me to read) every night for homework. […]

Holding her hand, he said to her, “Talitha koum,” which means “Little girl, get up!” Mark 5:41 When we first found out about my brain tumor a few years ago, there were more questions than answers, and on some days, more fear than faith. God’s Word was my sole source of strength, (that’s actually true […]
