It Was a Good One

Our Labor Day weekend included a wedding (with dancing that I’m sure will be much more embarrassing in pictures than it was in person), lots of thrift store shopping, good food, fun in the sun, and laughing with friends. And on top of that an extra day to hang out together as a family! Monday morning we went out to a late breakfast (one of my absolute favorite things to do!) at a local hole-in-the-wall then did some shopping and had friends over for dinner. Not bad! We have MUCH to be thankful for, and sometimes in the midst of the grind I forget that a little. It’s good to have some downtime to reflect on the fact that “Everything we have above nothing is a gift from God.” This is one of our pastor’s favorite sayings. šŸ™‚
