The other day Kingston and I went on a little lunch double-date with our friends Brooke and Culver at The Brick. Kingston already looks up to Culver, but when he and his mom showed up bearing gifts, he was completely smitten. He tried to get his attention (lots of “Hey Culver!” while waving right in his face) and followed him around the whole time we were together. Thankfully Culver has a little brother, so he knows how to deal with a younger kid fighting for his attention all the time! I read in this book that little boys’ idols will always be older little boys. It’s fun to see that play out with all the little guys in our circle of friends. And you know, no pressure to those of you who are raising my son’s idols. 🙂

  1. We had so much fun too! I think Cuver enjoyed the attention that did not include hair pulling or hitting. One day Kingston will be some little boy’s idol too 🙂
