We’re still in the trenches of potty training the strongest strong-willed child who ever walked the earth. Ha! Honestly, it’s not that bad. We’re pretty laid back with the whole thing (maybe too laid back?), but it’s fun to joke about it. At times it’s definitely less than fun. But last week we had a big break through and decided to celebrate. I’ll let you figure it out for yourself. 🙂 We told Kingston we were going to have a party, and he asked for donuts and balloons. And before you think I have way too much time on my hands let me explain the decorations: last month we had a super hero themed event at church, and I made some banners and a cityscape for part of the decor. We were going to throw them out we I got a (rare) genius idea! We could have a Pooper Hero Party with all our super hero stuff. So we did. And the little Pooper Hero had a blast! I love celebrating the little things. I mean, there’s nothing like a donut party on a random Tuesday night. Looking back, those sometimes turn out to be the memories we hold onto. Turns out the little things really are the big things!

  1. There is NO WAY that K is the strongest strong willed child who ever walked the earth. That title, my dear one, will forever belong to YOU!!!

  2. If your great aunt and uncle were alive they’d prob’ly argue that *I* was the most strong-willed child of all time but I get it. Seems like there’s been one of us in the past three generations, at least. We turned out okay so I’m not worried about K-Rock.

  3. I love this! I have found that it’s the little things that gets Aubrey Jo the most excited now and am betting it’s the little things she will remember later. Like having a “shopping spree” in the candy aisle at the gas station… who knew with $20 she would feel like the queen of the universe! Take her out though and spend 3-4 times that much and she’s like “eh” haha If instagram can celebrate MCM, WCW, TBT, FBF and whatever else every single week, then we can certainly celebrate potty victories and “made” beds (I use the term made very loosely, of course)

  4. If this will get my kid to poop on the potty I will buy all of that decor from you – that is our last and final step in the potty training battle. :-/
