Boo. Hoo. Summer is officially over, and I’m realizing we didn’t spend enough time in the sand and surf.
No worries though. We’ll make up for it this month! Summer never ends when you live in the Sunshine State!
Here are a few of my favorite moments from August… via our phones!
Left: Lunch date and a walk around the San Marco Square.
Right: Bookstore. We read. He plays with the trains.
Left: Right after our first ever “meet the teacher” experience. Kingston was much more interested in this drain pipe than he was in his teacher.
Pretty sure we made a great first impression though. I felt the need to tell her about his imaginary friend.
Right: One of those days that started out great. Then quickly went downhill. But a long nap makes everything better.
And I chose to remember a fun moment from the morning instead of the ultimate meltdown that came later! #tiredschoolboy #threenager
Left & Right (obviously!): I can’t stop taking pictures of him with that backpack.
Left: Lazy Friday.
Right: Saturday with my people.
Left: Bad hair day twins. #itsgenetic
Right: We’ve been thinking about putting Kingston in soccer this fall. Anderson thinks we should focus on his strengths though,
so we’re gonna find a toddler debate team instead.
Left: Yes. You’re really seeing that. Ronald still makes appearances.
Right: Anderson showing off some soccer moves at an event at church.
Left: Well. It’s official. We can’t keep up with the Hyatts. We partied with them the night before were zombies the next day. We had extra caffeine and even naps, but were still whipped. Mochi didn’t even help. 🙂 It was early to bed for this crew.
Right: I do. I really do! We’re always mid-trip planning for our next NYC adventure. There’s just something about the city. It’s intoxicating. The sounds, the smells (most of them), the pace. The energy! I dream of selling everything and moving to Brooklyn for a year. One day we will. Now isn’t the time. But one day! We’ll be old hipster wannbes who follow our kid to NYU!
Left: Trouble. Kingston and Uncle Don Don. 🙂
Right: The highlight of the month – we celebrated my Dad’s 60th!
Left: We always get Spanish junk mail. #soclose #marketingfail #weprefersouthernenglish
Right: This is Tape Road. It runs ALL over our house and is a semi-permanent fixture. When it starts sticking to my feet I pull it up. Then start over.
Both: St. Augustine
Left & Right or Before & After: Yep. We took another trip to Cousteau’s. Never disappoints.
Left: Had a subscription to this mag since my junior year of high school! It’s still one of my favorites.
Right: Too hot to be outside… unless it’s by a pool.
Left: Florida Summer Nights. Soaking it up since we only have like 4 more months of summer. 🙂
Right: So. After 3 hours at the mall, we all agreed that my online shopping “hobby” is actually a win-win for all parties involved.
Left: We had a breakfast date at one of our favorite local bakeries then took the kids to the park to burn off a little sugar!
Right: Had the privilege of celebrating this beautiful mama and can’t wait to meet Baby Stephan soon. He’s already so loved and has the best parents!
Left: These babies are good! Check the ethnic area of the frozen food section.
Right: We conquered Chuck E. Cheese’s with good friends!
