One of the things I love most about Jacksonville is all of the amazing military families that end up in the city. And the Blockers are some of my absolute favorites! Abe and Nicki are a great team – he’s a Marine (once a Marine, always a Marine!), and she’s a drama queen! Ha! Seriously though. She studied drama in college and years later, is now the incredibly talented Drama Director at church. And their kids? The cutest ever. I love how they all perfectly embody the stereotypes of their birth order. The oldest is a little adventurer and quite the protector of his sisters. The middle one marches to her own beat! And the baby – she’s just happy to be there. She smiled the whole time we were shooting! When we were discussing locations, Nicki told me that if we decided on a beach area, we had to wait until the very end to let the kids near the water. And I don’t know if she’s psychic or what 🙂 but sure enough, they all ended up soaked! Good call, Mom!!
