Not the case at the Embassy Suites St. Augustine Beach Oceanfront Resort! It’s only a few steps from the huge resort pool to the beach.

The Embassy Suites St. Augustine Beach (can we all agree that shortening the name is okay at this point?!) opened in December 2018 and is one of only 12 Embassy Suites resorts in the United States and Puerto Rico. Lucky us!
The amenities at the resort were perfect for a family vacation. Some of our favorites were the free breakfast buffet every morning and evening reception with drinks and snacks, Starbucks on property, HUGE resort pool, Castaway Cantina – the oceanfront restaurant (one of only a few in St. Augustine!), lots of outdoor seating areas and fire pits throughout the property, 500 feet of beach access with beach chairs and umbrellas, a 24-hour convenience market stocked with local St. Augustine products, well-equipped gym, lawn games, and another on-site restaurant, Harvest & Reel. There was plenty to keep us entertained on property, but we also enjoyed the short drive to historic downtown St. Augustine one night.
And our suite was beautiful and big and everything we could’ve possibly wanted. We stayed in a Family Suite with a living room and kitchen area, and a private bedroom that had a king bed plus a separate kids bunk bed area. Kingston loved that his area was separated from our room by a half wall, so he felt like he had his own space. It even had another TV and a also bean bag chair to relax in. My favorite part of the suite was the bed. A hotel with a comfy bed always gets extra points from me. And this one was so comfortable that Anderson took a picture of the mattress tag, so we could find out where it came from-ha! I was also impressed that the bathroom was really spacious. And I loved the ocean view… and the coastal decor… I know. I’m really building up this property, but it really is that perfect!
We spent most of the weekend at the pool and beach and loved having the option to order food from Castaway Cantina and have it delivered right to our chairs.
