It’s official. Pink Coffee Photo is no more!
To make a really long story, really short (because I’m assuming your attention span is like mine), I’m just ready for a change! I chose the name Pink Coffee Photo 8 years ago, and it’s been a great fit for my business. But I feel like it’s a little juvenile/cheesy now, or I’ve kind of outgrown it. Or something. 🙂 It just doesn’t feel right anymore. I’m also at a point where I’m tired of explaining what it means ALL. THE. TIME. Especially because it doesn’t really mean anything. Ha! I’ll meet someone at a networking/pr/local event and they’ll ask about my business, and they’re always like “So… what is Pink Coffee?” And I tell them it’s the name of my photography business. But then they say, “Oh, I thought you were a blogger. So you’re a photographer too? What’s your blog called?” And so I try explain that Pink Coffee is both… blah blah blah. It’s even more complicated since the blog is only about half business/half personal now. One day I just realized it would be easier if I could say, “I’m Lyndsay Almeida, and I’m a photographer and blogger.” Done.
So there ya have it. Welcome to my new website! I’m still making little changes here and there but couldn’t wait anymore to start posting again. So if you have any weird glitches or see any major typos, please tell me! I know some of you get way too excited about looking for those types of errors. 🙂
I wanted my first post here to be about this journey and how much I love blogging and how awesome my readers are, but I’m just not in a sappy mood today! At all. Maybe next week? But I do want to thank Ansley Randall for my new branding, Meredith Rowe for the new head-shots, and James Sparkman for helping me get the old blog moved over here. That is a beast of a job!
Rock and Roll.
