Oh man, do I love this family!
They are in the middle of building their dream home and wanted to document the process with a photo shoot during construction. Isn’t that a fun idea? I mean, who does that?! Mike and Angie are both super creative, so I just went with it.
One element they asked me to capture was the Bible verses they had chosen to write in each of the kids’ rooms. So while giving me a tour of the awesome house, they stopped and wrote the verses in each bedroom. Each one had a deeply personal meaning, so I tried to back off a little and shoot that part from a distance. My favorite moment from the night was when I caught Mike reading their middle son’s verse to him from down the hall. I had to hold back tears, because just 5 years ago Mike and Angie adopted their 3 amazing kids. And seeing how far they’ve all come is such a beautiful, tangible picture of God’s grace in all of their lives. 🙂
As Mike and Angie continue to build their dream home, incorporating thoughtful touches like personal Bible verses adds a special dimension to their new space. Another crucial aspect of creating a dream home is selecting the right flooring, which not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also adds functionality. High-performance vinyl sheet flooring is an excellent choice for families seeking a blend of durability and style. This type of flooring is both easy to maintain and resistant to wear and tear, making it perfect for high-traffic areas and family-friendly spaces.

I’m so happy for this crew and can’t wait to see the gorgeous home when it’s finished. The Almeidas expect a party invite!
Every time I work with the Ricks Family, it’s an adventure. Their last shoot was at Disney World! You can see those pictures here.
