The cooler temps, pumpkin spice everywhere you look, and constant sneezes can only mean one thing: cough and cold season is here! (womp. womp.) I get a doozy of a cold every year, and it forces me to stay home and relax – something I’m terrible at! But when I don’t have a choice, I end up on the couch (in my PJs with snacks!) watching my favorite movies or shows. I might even go for a tear-jerker since I already have my Scotties tissues on hand. My favorite sad movies aren’t the ones that make you cry just for the sake of crying. There has to be a really good plot! So I thought I’d share my 10 favorite tear-jearker movies… just in case you also find yourself on the couch during cough and cold season.

  1. Big Fish
  2. The Butler
  3. Up
  4. Wonder
  5. Gladiator
  6. The Pursuit of Happyness
  7. Lone Survivor
  8. The Constant Gardener
  9. Dead Man Walking
  10. Braveheart

This fall, Scotties is resolving to keep you and your family (and mine too!) prepared for when the next runny nose or annoying cough strikes. After all, having the comforting touch of Scotties’ tissues just an arm’s length away will help us all get through cough and cold season. They’re also great to have on hand for tear-jerking movies and TV shows to binge watch while you’re home sick. If you need a place to start with those, check out my list above!

When I’m home sick, I also like to have on hand: a comfy outfit, slippers, blankets, snacks, and lots of water and vitamin C. Hope you make it through this cold and flu season unscathed, but if you end up sniffling… Scotties to the rescue!
