We’ve been decking the halls of the Almeida House! The tree is up, the stockings are hung, and we’ve even bakes a ton of goodies. So we took a break from all the festivities to enjoy some of our cookies with one of my favorite drinks – cranberry tea.
While making the cookies, we actually ran out of regular flour, so I had to substitute with whole wheat. Yeah. You know what? Let’s not focus on that at all. Icing! Sprinkles! They were beautiful. 🙂 On to more positive topics…
The tea! I used Milo’s Famous Sweet Tea, because they only use fresh, natural ingredients. We’ve been trying to eat clean the last couple of years, so I love that they don’t add any preservatives or weird stuff. And it comes in several varieties: Sweetened with Pure Cane Sugar, No Calorie and Unsweet. I picked up 2 gallons at Walmart for just $5 on rollback (while supplies last). And while I was there also grabbed the ingredients for what I’ve dubbed “Christmas Cranberry Tea.” Anderson calls it “fancy tea.” Call it whatever you want. You’ll love it. The simple recipe is below!
Christmas Cranberry Tea:
8 cups Milo’s Famous Sweet Tea
4 TBSP Cranberry Juice Concentrate (Thawed)
Juice from one lemon
Fresh cranberries
Mint leaves
Mix all ingredients in a pitcher.
Chill until ready to serve.
Pour into glasses and garnish with cranberries, lemon slices, and mint leaves.
Enjoy!
