I was so excited after ordering our Christmas cards this year. The simple design and pictures (that Sarah Eddy took for us) were some of my favorites. Only one problem: I never actually ordered the cards! UGH! After waiting for them to arrive for over a week I checked my email to see what the expected delivery date was supposed to be, because my printer usually ships within 3 business days. And that’s when I realized that I never finished the ordering process. There was one more button to push. And I missed it. 🙁

Kind of like when I’m paying for groceries and after putting in my PIN number and confirming the amount, I slip into a daze and completely zone out until the cashier snaps me back to reality by telling me there’s one more button to push. That pesky DO YOU WANT THIS ALL ONE ONE CARD? button. Why did they add one more step? I never remember! Do they think I want to put it on 7 different cards? How annoying. I digress…

So yeah. You almost got a card from us. But not this year. By the time I realized the problem, it was too late to place another order. Oh well. I’ll just share all my favorites from our photoshoot with you right here!

Merry Christmas to you and yours!!!

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Romans 15:13

I started to write a quick message about what a great year 2015 was for the Almeidas. And then as I started typing I remembered that there were some really tough months this year. Like when Anderson got laid off this summer and we weren’t sure what we were going to do about insurance. (That’s an especially big deal when you have an ongoing health concern!) But those months seem so far away now. And they don’t color the way I see our whole year.

Why?

HOPE.

The hope that only comes from Jesus Christ. The hope that knows deep down that no matter what happens, he is still in control.

He came. To seek and to save the lost. That’s why we have hope.

Because of Christmas – we have HOPE.
